How to Install Like a Pro

Industry-standard practices to install artificial grass the right way — for any lawn, landscape or sports project.

Prepare the Ground

Remove existing grass and 5–8 cm of soil. Lay and compact crushed stone or decomposed granite, then level the surface. Install weed fabric if needed.

Roll Out & Relax the Turf

Roll the turf over the clean, flat base with all blades facing the same direction. Let it sit in the sun for a few hours so the fibers relax.

Cut to Fit

Mark cutting lines on the backing and trim with a sharp carpet knife. Cut edges close together without overlapping for invisible seams.

Seam the Rolls

Place seaming tape along chalk lines, apply adhesive, wait 3–5 minutes, then press both edges onto the tape. Allow 25–35 minutes to cure.

Secure the Perimeter

Fix edges with 6" galvanized nails or sod staples every 15–25 cm around the perimeter, keeping blades upright as you fasten.

Apply Infill & Brush

Spread silica sand infill evenly (5–8 kg/m²) in layers, then power-brush against the grain to lift the fibers. Your lawn is ready.
